Life story

In grade school 1, we melted crayons on wax paper in a random manner, and then drew into it to make it look like something. I was hooked on art. It was like magic. In high school 2, I helped a buddy make a 300LB , 7Ft tall naked woman out of polyester resin. We almost died from the fumes, but we made something that never existed before. My first go at college 3, I started oxy/acetylene welding and fell in love with steel. I moved to Florida for 3 years, bought my own equipment, worked my way up to a public sculpture at an airport and almost became famous. The body of work I did in Florida, got me accepted to SAIC 4, so I moved back to Illinois. I kept welding but also learned to work with other metals and forging. I left school 5 again and spent the next 25 years getting married, working for my family, and doing a little art here and there. But I was always looking and seeing and thinking. And then the motorcycle shows hit cable TV and I saw that the equipment I always wanted was now cheap enough for the masses. TIG welders, plasma cutters, english wheels, you name it. I had my vision and now the tools to make it. So here’s a few examples of what 50 some years of seeing the world through my eyes ends up looking like when formed from steel.
